Course Description

MAE 6950: Advanced GPS Receiver Design.
Offered spring semester.
Variable credits.
Prerequisite: ECE/MAE 4150.
Location TBD.

This is a continuation of ECE/MAE 4150 in which the processing of the GPS signal is implemented in order to extract the GPS observables. Creation of C/A code, upsampling, baseband down conversion, signal acquisition, signal tracking, pseudorange calculation, navigation message interpretation, and navigation solution using 4150 code.
